As the sun was setting, we were hiking in the Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia. It was the spring of 2023. There had been heavy rains, and the rivers were overflowing. We barely made it to the waterfalls before they closed the boardwalks due to flooding.
As we were walking down the path, the Milanovacki Slap waterfall caught Anne’s attention. She felt it had a message for us. There were very few people left in the park due to the rising waters, so we had the opportunity to stop and briefly talk to the waterfall. We wanted to intuitively hear what it had to say:
“Be at peace with yourself. You, too, are in movement. May the waters around you remind you of this.
“When you enjoy yourself and love your reality, you flow like water. Appreciate the direction you have chosen to flow in. When you don’t like something about your reality, choose a new direction and flow there. When you reach a fork in the river, choose again. This is you creating your journey in your world.
“You are the creator in your realm. You are in charge of your reality and your choices. When you appreciate yourself and your choices, you put yourself in flow with the Source of all that is.

“How do you know which choice is right for you? You ask yourself which one takes you to joy. Your heart will tell you this. Center yourself in your heart and feel which direction calls to you in purity. Move in that direction and notice how you feel. There is always another choice in your future.
“Which choice brings your heart closer to Source or God? Which direction supports you in appreciating yourself? Ask yourself these questions.

“It could be that you choose a direction which turns out to be difficult for a time. You may think you have chosen the wrong one. Trust that your desires will be fulfilled as long as you keep checking in and remain in flow. Flow takes you to more choices ahead.”
Choosing Your Direction Exercise
Would you like to live in flow? You can choose your direction and create goodness for yourself.

Imagine you are on a raft in a gently flowing river. Your raft is easy to maneuver and the rudder can take you right or left. Practice moving your rudder to the right and to the left.
Practice shifting your rudder some more. Feel what it is like to make these subtle shifts for your raft. You are becoming an expert at shifting your rudder. You are becoming confident on your raft.
Now, from your position on the raft, think of a question that has a yes or no answer. Imagine ‘yes’ will take you to the right and ‘no’ will take you left.
Ask your question. Steer right and notice how that feels. Steer left and notice how that feels. Which feels better in your body? What is the difference between the two directions? Choose a direction.
You can do this simple exercise whenever you want to make a choice. The more you practice this, the easier it becomes. This is you connecting with your intuition!
